Artist of the Year Competition
This competition is open to all members of the LFAA. It runs monthly starting in October through August of the following year. Each month the entries are judged by the members present and a running tally is kept by a board member.
The First place winner will receive the title of the Livingston Fine Art Association's " Artist of the Year", A cash award of one hundred dollars and a traveling award plaque which the artist keeps for a year and then passes it on to the next winner. Second place will receive a cash award of fifty dollars with a ribbon and third place will receive a cash award of twenty five dollars with ribbon.
The rules and guide lines are as follows:
- Members only
- Time line-October through August
- One piece of art per month
- Must be original art produced by the artist
- Fine art only, no crafts (using items purchased for resale)
- No piece can be entered more than once
- Art work must have been created during the pass two years
- Members only can vote
When judging the art work which will be presented by number only, use the following for guides:
- Use of medium
- Composition
- Creativity
- Is the work aesthetically pleasing
