Kimberly Holback
At a very early age I found that I loved drawing and painting, especially people. I was born in Taiwan to missionary parents. When I was I was small we moved back to the U.S. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Later, I studied Art and Psychology in Tennessee where I lived for about four years. I currently live in Michigan with my husband and my three children, all of them a constant source of inspiration to me. I enjoy being involved in the community through art.
I approach my art with a love of the beauty in the simplest every day things. I also try to communicate my belief that every person is beautiful and individual, a living work of art, created by the Master Artist. In my paintings, both portrait and mural, I like to use light and composition to create a "Magical" feeling and to form a scene that tells a story. It is my hope that through my art I not to only accurately depict a person's features or record a place with art, but that I am able convey a story or message of inspiration to the viewer.
